The wonders of London ...
When you work in London you often forget what is around you and what wonderful historic architecture exists. The main aim is normally to get from A to B as quickly as possible and then home or back to the hotel. In the winter that’s all you want to do anyway.
However during the summer it is definitely worth taking your time and taking just the wonders that exist here in London. Typically when I stay in London I go to the tube hope onto the Victoria line to Warren Street and then to the hotel. But now the warmer and brighter evenings are here it great walking back instead. A stroll through St James park up to the Mall and into Trafalgar Square, which is always a hustle and bustle place but such a magnificent place with all the buildings around there. Sometimes even wonder up Whitehall just for a change. From there it’s up towards Leicester Square, sometimes we wonder past it or through the middle, depends what is happening there on the night. All around this area there is so much to see and such a vibrant place.
Past there and wondering up to Warren Street it become more traditional and not quite so good. Yet not far from there is Regents park. Took a run through there tonight again and it was excellent such a massive place for the centre of London and yet so peaceful, good time to think and reflect on life, the universe and everything.
If you were on your own would be a great place to live :) but then it’s back to reality and catching up on the normal days emails!
