Milton Keynes ERSA Report

This season we are trying something a little different and will be looking to produce a short report from each race. Thanks to Graham Cuthbert who kindly jumped at the opportunity to put something together. So attached below is the first report from this season.

If you would like to put something together for a future race let me know, especially the Hemel ERSA on the 13th June as Graham is not able to attend.

ERSA Hemel Invite

The invite for the Hemel ERSA race on Sunday 13th June has been published and can view it here clicking on the link below.

If you would like to enter please contact your club race manager. There will be no late entries as the race is likely to be over subscribed as we have a limit of 150 racers.

Milton Keynes ERSA Acceptance List

Attached to this page is a copy of the acceptance list for the MK ERSA race next weekend on the 23rd May. If you see any problems drop me an email at bernard@lindseygang.co.uk.

What does the future hold?

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a few thoughts about the future of plastic racing, but there is also the other aspect about the format of the various races on offer. The next few years are going to be very interesting to see how things develop and the offering for racers improves.

Norfolk GP Report

Received the report from the weekend from SSE today, attached at the bottom of the page, about the first GP in Norfolk.

Posting here as haven’t worked out how to attach a file to the ERSA group if anyone knows let me know please.

Norfolk Races

This weekend saw the Club National on Saturday and the first of the SSE Grand Prix on Sunday at Norfolk.

The weather forecast for the weekend was wet wet wet. However we were very lucky on Saturday as the sun was out most of the day so much so I managed to get a bit of sun burn on the head! that’s one of the advantages of the outdoor races and it produces a much better atmosphere. Of course great when the sun is out but not so good when it is the rain.

The future for plastic racing...

So during the summer racing season we have both indoor and outdoor racing giving people a much wider choice than just a few years ago. Over the past couple of years the opportunity to race indoors has grown dramatically, the Graham Beck races have proved very successful and this year he is running a lot of races and peer pressure is pushing more people in that direction. At the same time SSE have started running more races indoors covering club nationals, grand prix and championships.

ERSA April Newsletter

Attached is the April newsletter focusing on the coming summer season. Any comments or feedback greatly received :) drop me a line at bernard@lindseygang.co.uk.

Hope you find it useful just another way of pushing information out, but always need feedback.
This will also appear on the ERSA Website very soon.

So what happens in the background?

A lot!!

But what am I on about now? Skiing of course and what happens in the background for the various races that go on.

Racing costs

If you are a race secretary for either a club national or grand prix make sure you have a read of this http://www.britski.org/arbul101.pdf. It has some useful information about the forthcoming season, it has been sent to club secretaries in the past couple of days, been on the website since the end of March, but not emailed directly to race secretaries yet.
