Bright lights of the city...
The number of times I have been to London and very rarely look around, just go to work head home or stay over for a night. Even when staying over end up working late and then going straight back to the hotel.
So it was a nice change this week to pack in early, well 6.30pm, wonder back to the hotel, grab some food and then wonder about for a while. It’s amazing what you see when taking your time more. Walked from Tottenham Court Road, all the way down to Westminster. Walked past the National Gallery and over to Trafalgar Square something I haven’t done for years. Ended up looking across the river at the Eye, looks fantastic at night.
Walking back to the hotel wondered through St James park (so much different at night time with hardly anyone around) and then across to regents street. Earlier also walked down Whitehall which was incredible looking around the place.
Working in these places just sometimes need to take some time out and enjoy what is there, so much history.
