ESSKIA National Finals
A couple of weekends ago went up to Rossendale for the National ESSKIA Finals with the girls from school. Was actually a good weekend and they did very well on Saturday coming 3rd in the U14, which was pleasing as two of them should really have been in the U12.
Sunday was another day and the open event for the U19 which this year they wanted to take part in. A tougher event and course was a little more challenging but they all got through and had a good time. They still qualified for the finals in Pontypool in November, but this year we can’t make it :( much to Natasha’s disgust!!
Saturday night took Natasha over to Pendle where there was a fund raising event for Dave Ryding which was a good evening, although tiring.
Overall a brilliant weekend, very exhausting but great fun. All she is hoping for now is an invite to the camp next year!
Was still interesting to see how these races are run, so wanted to get involved and say no do this, or you missed that straddle, but let others do it for once.
