Improving the Saturday rush hour...

By bernard - Posted on 28 November 2009

So have been in Ipswich today getting a few odds and sods, nothing for Christmas yet still got that to sort out. However the town was incredibly busy and loads of people just wondering around aimlessly and spending loads of cash. Takes forever to get from A to B, which off course only increases the frustration!

But wondering round was amazed at just how many old people were plodding about as if they have all the time in the world, some of us don’t. So I was thinking, we have the congestion charge in London why not introduce an oldie congestion charge and that would then get rid of most of them at the weekends hopefully. Three levels, OAPs past retirement age charge the highest, then we go down to 60+ if they not retired and then the rest of us are free to wonder about.

They have all week to wonder around so let those of us that don’t have time during the week the chance to get about un-hindered!

So there is the first part of my manifesto :)
