ERSA Race Attendance

By bernard - Posted on 22 March 2010

Last year it was interesting to see what the attendance was like at some of the races in ERSA. Some were down others up. What was very apparent though is that we didn’t have any true stats to back up what the trend was. It’s also quite important to watch what the trend is like this coming year with so many changes happening. Last year and this year there are so many races to choose from. This year we have at least seven, possibly eight races in the region, but also there is a packed national scene. One other factor we will be watching is to see what sort of impact Hemel will have now that it is indoor.

So using the results which we have from the previous years over the past few weeks we have been putting together various information which we can use to see what trends are like, possible places to improve and where to focus. Obviously the stats only give one picture and we need to continue talking to parents and racers.

Over the coming weeks will publish various graphs will bits of details on. Will eventually publish much more of them together but here is the first one. The graph above shows the trend from 2004 – 2009 against the various age categories. For each category the trend has been pretty even over the time, including last year when attendance dipped a little.

Anyway there is a start will post more soon.
